DRY SUBMARINE

Erich Lammers cleans the outside of a submarine at the Kockums shipyard in Karlskrona Sweden. Apart from designing and building top secret military vessels the Kockums shipyard restores older subs in dry docks. In this case the submarine is meant for a foreign nation.
I shot the story of the Karlskrona shipyard for Dagens Industri , Swedens leading business daily.

QUEEN OF CRIME

It was great fun doing a photoshoot on Camilla Läckberg, famous swedish crime writer. Her own backyard became a crime scene as she lay on the green grass , like sleeping beauty, with a kitchen knife protruding from her heart. Well under her arm anyway...seconds after she was laughing her head off ...read the interview in Dagens Industri WEEKEND edition.

Software Piracy

Marek Cerniak was probably Polands first and only software piracy detective. A private eye dedicated to tracking down business owners in Poland that use software without paying licence fees. I met Marek back in march 2001, on assignment for Newsweek , and we shot his portait in a CD factory on the outskirts of Warsaw.

PORTRAIT OF THE YEAR 2007

This shot of swedish chef Melker Andersson won the Portrait of the Year award at the Swedish Picture of the Year awards 2007.

I followed Melker for a few days as he was designing his new restaurant "Kungsholmen" in central Stockholm . Melker is a great guy and a reaalllly great chef. He owns several upscale restaurants in Stockholm one of which is the "Grill" situated on Drottninggatan (Queen street) just a few paces from where I live. Grill is where we shot this picture for Dagens Industris Weekend magazine.

The fun part was that there wasn´t really lots and lots of cutlery in the place and as we were
doing the shoot in a minimal backroom of the restaurant, there wasn´t enough cutlery left for all the guests that were arriving. There wasn´t much time since the staff of the restaurant were already on the verge of rushing in and taking away the silver....
It was a 5 minute shoot in all ......

Thank you Melker and thanks also to the whole, very patient staff of Grill!!!! Love you all!!!

Behind the mask

The girl behind the mask is Nina Westman, a girl dedicated to fencing . She is currently on the Swedish junior national fencing team. The photoshoot of Nina and her teammates took place in Uppsala, Sweden. At first I couldn´t see anything behind their masks but as Nina turned her head to look at me the afternoon sunlight filtered through the holes of her mask and I quickly shot 4 frames one of which turned out like this.
